Welcome to the DeAnza Disabled Students Unlimited ( DSU )
website. Our organization is dedicated to the diversity of students with disabilities. We focus on
easing the challenges facing sutdents with disabilities in the college environment. During their stay
at De Anza College, students are encouraged to bring any accessibility issues to the attention of the
DSU so the issue can be presented to the appropriate
division for solving the issue.
The DSU suppports members with guided tours around the college campus, obtaining special materials for the DSS ( Disabled Students Services ), EDC ( Educational Diognostic Center ), and PE-13 Adaptive Physical Education programs. Special tips to off - caampus destinations are scheduled periodically when possible. Past trips have been to Marine World®, Santa Cruz, and Camping at Various locations on the California Coast. These trips are funded through the club hosting a drink stand during the De Anza Flea Markets held throughout the year.
Students & Faculty do not need to have a disability to join the DSU, Our organization is open to everyone who is interested in supporting people with disabilities. To join the group, please clict on the link "Membership" on the lefthand panel.
